Lafayette, Louisiana-based punkish alt-rock act Jestr are getting ready to release their first album titled ‘The Dead & Riches’ on February 11th. Gearing up for the record’s unleashing, the quartet dropped singles “Scare You!,” “Birth of a Charlatan” and “Ghost of You” in 2021, and now the guys are ready to let loose another fresh song dubbed “By Design,” which you can stream in full below before tomorrow’s official drop.

About the new tune, Jestr tell us, “Hey there folks, we are just tickled pink to present to you guys our newest little jingle and our first song of 2022, By Design. This song is very near and dear to our hearts as it was one of the very first songs written for Jestr and we hope it brings a smile to your face and your ears.”

A little background info, Jestr started as a solo project by Brett Bradley (vocalist, lead guitartist) at the end of 2019. Brett previously stated that the band’s influences range from mythology, the paranormal and bizarre tales, and also noted that the name ‘Jestr’ came from a strong spiritual experience he had. The group’s current line-up (rounded out by rhythm guitarist Zack Guidry, bassist Alex Miller, and drummer / percussionist Austin Wood) materialized in spring of 2021.

Regarding the impending LP, Jestr previously said, “We are absolutely overjoyed to share with you all our Debut LP The Dead & Riches. This album has been one heck of an experience and we cannot wait for y’all to take the driver’s seat with this record. We hope you have as good a time listening to it as we did making it!
