Kim Mi Soo had several supporting roles in various South Korean series and films. Her latest stint was with the BLACKPINK member, Jisoo, for the Disney+ Original title, Snowdrop.

Amid the drama's airing on small screens, fans and followers received heartbreaking news on Wednesday. Koreaboo reported that the actress, aged 29 (30 in South Korea), passed away on January 5.

Landscape Entertainment Confirmed The Reports

Landscape Entertainment, the agency of Kim Mi Soo, confirmed the reports through an official statement released to Star News. It stated that the actress "suddenly" met her demise on Wednesday, adding that it was "heartbreaking news."

The reports did not, however, disclose any information about the cause of her death. It also remains unclear whether the family shared the matter with the agency. Nevertheless, Landscape Entertainment urged the public to "refrain from spreading rumors and speculative reports" to allow the actress's family to mourn in peace.

It also shared that the family is "very heartbroken" because of what happened. As for the funeral, though, they would have it in private and "behind closed doors."

In the end, the label encouraged everyone to pray for the celebrity.

Some netizens reportedly acknowledged how great and talented Kim Mi Soo was. One even stated that South Korean entertainment "lost a rising giant in acting and modeling."

Others, meanwhile, stressed how shocking the news was but, pointed out that they should instead "celebrate" the celebrity's life.

The 29-year-old actress played the role of student activist Yeo Jung Min on Snowdrop. Before her latest stint, she appeared on numerous materials and titles, including Hi Bye, Mama!, Hellbound, and Into the Ring.

Kim Mi Soo also starred in films like Kyungmi's World and Memories.
