Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street showed things going from bad from worse for Emma Brooker and Faye Windass tonight (January 5), after they accidentally knocked over an elderly man who died earlier in the week.

In their defence, he told them he was fine following the car crash and they did go to his flat to check up on him, which is when they found him dead.

In tonight's episodes, Craig told Faye that the police's forensics department would be searching the man's flat for any clues they could find. She went to Emma and told them that they needed to go back to the flat because Faye's fake nail came off in his sink.

Emma told her that she's on her own from here on out, as she couldn't face going back to that flat.

But the second episode made it harder for the two to avoid each other and ignore the situation, as Craig revealed to Faye that he'd arranged from them to instantly move into the salon flat... with Tyrone Dobbs and Emma.

Things got even worse for the pair when Craig revealed that the police were now chasing up the postman who delivered a parcel to the man – a parcel that Emma signed for.

"We need to stick together," Faye said. "No more silly arguments."

Can the two really keep this a secret?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7.30pm on ITV.
