And the Omicron fallout continues.
NCIS: Los Angeles, which was slated to restart production on its current 13th season later this month following its holiday break, will now return to work sometime in February. Additionally, NCIS — which was set to resume shooting on Season 19 this week — has temporarily paused production as well.
As of now, the work stoppages are not expected to impact either series on-air schedules.
Both delays were made out of an abundance of caution.
Meanwhile. a CBS insider notes that the previously announced NCIS/NCIS: Hawai’i crossover — which is currently shooting in Hawaii — remains in production.
As we reported earlier today, four ABC shows — Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19, The Rookie and General Hospital — have seen their post-holiday returns pushed back due to Omicron-fueled COVID surge.
The U.S. on Tuesday tallied more than a half a million new COVID cases. The uptick is being driven largely by the highly transmittable (albeit less lethal) variant.
How many episodes will have this seasons?
I don’t think anyone can predict as this is a very fluid and unique set of circumstances. This new variant is incredibly contagious. Everyone involved needs to stay safe.
Apparently NCIS LA was far ahead in terms of shooting, and therefore the pause will not effect the episode count of the series at this point. The pause for NCIS is at least a week…
NCIS LA: I so want to continue your journey but is import for cast and crew to stay safe. I look forward to a healthy return. CBS and Paramount this is the right thing to do and hopefully this wonderful program will be renewed for season 14. Stay safe all ❤️🙏 for a hedge of protection.
LL Cool J pulled out of a NYE performance, saying he had tested positive for COVID-19. That likely entered into the decision to delay NCIS: LA production.
Not surprised. Better to be safe, than sorry for ANY series that’s in production at the moment. Movies, too. …👍👍
Ya less lethal if your vaccinated
CBS has slotted in mostly repeats of their scripted shows against NBC’s Olympic Coverage for those 3 weeks or so – so the have a window already to play with.
Let’s hope we don’t lose any episodes since this might be NCIS:LA’s last season!
Love watching Ncis,Ncis LA .
Best decision for any show currently in production is that there are work stoppages and that vaccinations/boosters are mandated for every member of cast and crew.
What a load! Dr Robert Malone says Omicron is highly contagious but elicits a strong immune system response. Not much more than a cold, so get a grip. Stop listening to the news and please Stop lining up for the bioweapons disguised as vaccines. This is genocide.
What do you call people that keep in denial over Covid and want to inspire people to stop taking vaccinations or other safety measures. I think the word is murderer. It’s a shame to see that some people value the opinion of facebook posts and youtube videos by people calling themselves doctor instead of traditional medicine which has helped people for centuries. Suppose you or your loved ones gets cancer tomorrow, are you going to inspire him not to seek help from a doctor or a hospital because they support what you call genocide?
When can l see NCiS/ LA over here in the UK.on Free View
Many thanks
Stay safe and take care
