Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Faye Windass and Emma Brooker will reach panic mode next week when Craig Tinker comes across the late Ted's crutch.

In New Year's scenes, the former accidentally knocked the old man over whilst she was driving Emma home from a party; he assured the pair he was fine, but when they checked in on him at his flat, they found poor Ted deceased.

Desperately trying to conceal any connection to his death, Emma took the elderly man's crutch, before it was confirmed that the situation was being treated as suspicious by the police.

During Monday, January 10's episodes airing at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, Weatherfield cop Craig returns from his run with a sprained ankle.

To Faye's horror, Tyrone Dobbs offers him Ted's crutch to use, which Emma and Faye had left in Tim Metcalfe's car.

While Faye assists the injured Craig, Emma realises that he's got Ted's crutch, which he appears to be studying as it's decorated with engraved initials.

Naturally, Craig is involved with the death investigation, but will he put the pieces together and identify the two as manslaughter candidates?
