Emmerdale businessman Jai Sharma fears for his future next week after some upsetting news.
Jai has been awaiting an important update after a Health and Safety investigation was carried out over the Hawskford Outdoor Pursuits centre.
Late last year, the HOP was embroiled in scandal after various disasters occurred during a survival adventure challenge. This played out on screen in ITV's Super Soap Week, culminating in the death of Andrea Tate (Anna Nightingale).
Jai initially tried to deal with the situation by blaming Ben Tucker (Simon Lennon) for everything, but his short-term strategy wasn't enough to keep the business out of trouble.

In next week's episodes, Jai and Kim Tate (Claire King) are both stunned when a fine comes through from Health and Safety and it's much bigger than they'd expected.
Although Jai tries his best to put on a brave face, he isn't sure how he'll be able to stay afloat financially following this setback.
Jai becomes desperate and secretly makes an application to a loan company.
Unfortunately, the application is rejected and Jai has no idea what he's going to do next. Is he facing a bleak start to 2022?

Chris Bisson, who plays Jai, recently warned that his character's ruthless side could make a return if things continue to go badly for him.
Speaking late last year, Chris explained: "Becoming the majority shareholder at the HOP puts him in a slightly different position. Kim has managed to hand some shares over to Gabby just in time to sidestep this major crisis.
"It really is on Jai's toes to resolve this. Ultimately he's always been fairly ruthless in business and sometimes in love, so he's due a bit of a run now. He's been nice for a while.
"He needed redeeming after his escapades with cocaine and Rachel. He went to the edge of whether people could like him any more. We've probably bought him back far enough to see he's a good person and a good dad, but when it comes to business, he'll do what he has to do to protect his family."
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Thursday, January 13 at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.
