David Lee Roth canceled all his Las Vegas farewell shows earlier this week seemingly due to the ongoing Omicron variant. Roth originally rescheduled his New Year's Eve and New Year's Day farewell shows to February 11 and 12, thanks to a COVID case within his band, and then canceled all the shows completely. Roth has since issued a very cryptic statement to outlets like EW, making it seems like he's not going to reschedule the shows anytime soon.

"Sometimes you win, Sometimes you lose, We got rained out.. Covid cancelled. Future shows? When the benefit concerts for Colorado, Farm Aid, and hospital workers 'everywhere' come up; Call me.."

Roth originally announced his intention to retire from music last October, saying "I am throwing in the shoes. I'm retiring. This is the first, and only, official announcement." He also touched on the passing of Eddie Van Halen, saying he's been thinking about "the departure of my beloved classmate recently"

"I am encouraged and compelled to really come to grips with how short time is, and my time is probably even shorter. I thought I might have been the first, frankly … 'Hey Ed, objects in the rear-view mirror are probably me.' And my doctors, my handlers, compelled me to really address that every time I go onstage, I endanger that future."
