CES 2022 | HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset: New colourful headset introduced with an audio control box and 7.1 virtual surround sound
HyperX has launched the Cloud II Gaming Headset, one of several headsets that the company has introduced today. While the Cloud II Gaming Headset resembles the cheaper Cloud Core Gaming Headset, it has a few other features up its sleeve. Specifically, HyperX has included an audio control box that delivers 7.1 virtual surround sound. Additionally, this control box has independent audio and microphone volume controls, as shown below.
Similarly, you can toggle the 7.1 virtual surround sound effect with a button mounted between the four volume buttons. According to HyperX, the Cloud II Gaming Headset's microphone is uni-directional and noise-cancelling. The electret condenser microphone has a 50 Hz - 7.5 kHz frequency response and -42dBV sensitivity (1V/Pa at 1kHz). Like other HyperX headsets announced today, the Cloud II Gaming Headset has an aluminium frame with ear cushions made from memory foam and premium leatherette. The Cloud II Gaming Headset will be available in March for US$99.99. HyperX will only sell the headset in white with pink highlights, as shown in the company's marketing images.
