With The Batman set to hit theaters exactly two months from today, Warner Bros. has debuted a new TV spot for Matt Reeves' reboot via the movie's official Twitter account.

Although most of the footage in the 30-second promo could be seen in the recent "The Bat and The Cat" trailer, some new shots are spotlighted. In addition to a brief glimpse of Oswald Cobbelpot/The Penguin (Colin Farrell), we see a little more of The Dark Knight (Robert Pattinson) and Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Zoe Kravitz) in action as they join forces in an attempt to suppress Gotham City's criminal underworld.

Rumors persists that Eternals actor Barry Keoghan is actually playing The Joker, and while that obviously remains to be seen, we can tell you that The Batman does have a few surprises in store for DC Comics fans!

"Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies — Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) — amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens."

“When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler (Paul Dano). As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.”

The Batman is set to hit theaters on March 4, 2022.

I liked the transition from Batman's hits to Catwoman's kicks.

Catwoman looking like a Proto Robin in this one. Batman and Robin? Nah, The Bat and the Cat seem to be the new dynamic duo.

@DarthOmega - I dig it. I think eventually that a badass Robin needs to be introduced at some point.

@GirshwinDavies - I just wonder how they would do it. Would they make him young like an early teen, or would they go for late teens, early 20s. I was thinking like Finn, or Noah from Stranger Things. I didn't even realize how old those kids are now. They are like 19 and 20 now. F*ck I'm old lol

@DarthOmega - Fml me too!! I think he should be around 18 years old honestly. A leader among the orphans already and we can get past the whole minor thing. That way he can transition to Nightwing and then ultimately, Jason Todd arrives. Or have Nightwing already existent. Skip the origin story and start with Jason Todd.

@GirshwinDavies - Robin definitely should be a little older. Maybe 16. I just have a problem with a 90lbs 12 year old gymnast with no martial arts training totally incapacitate a grown felon with a gun.

@GirshwinDavies - I know a lot of people won't like it, but I wouldn't mind it if they immediately jump to Damian Wayne as Robin if that means we get Leslie's Batgirl interact with Dick, Jason, Tim and Stephanie's Bat-characters

I think this is gonna be so awesome. Batman needs a mouth protector from all of those automatic bullets.

Don't get me wrong, this is my most anticipated film of next year. But I'm old school. I'm waiting for the return of that other Bat.

I can't tell if I'm more excited to see Pattinson, Kravitz or Dano in this. They all look so [frick]ing good in their roles. And Farrell looks like a potential scene stealer too

@tmp3

Dano, for me. Even though every bit of casting looks aces.

@regularmovieguy - Yeah, I remember when they cast him just going "holy [frick] that's perfect". When they cast Kravitz I was on board but not hyped, but every piece of footage just solidified that she might end up stealing the whole damn movie.

@tmp3 - Yeah, and Farrell seems almost to be drawing a little inspiration from Trump, particularly with his line and delivery in this particular trailer. It’s a good fit, with Cobblepot reading like kind of a loser/gangster wannabe who comes across a bit smarmy, but appears to turn dangerous when he feels he is not being respected/taken seriously.
