Ugg boots were one of the It shoes in the 2000s (perhaps you paired them with your best Juicy Couture tracksuit, in the vein of Paris Hilton), but the plushy comfort shoes have been having a recent comeback. It started last year, when models like Joan Smalls, Hailey Bieber, and Emily Ratajkowski started wearing one of the brand’s new styles—the Mini Ugg!—making them look, dare I say, chic. After more than a decade of falling out of fashion, Uggs returned with a vengeance. And now, Kendall Jenner is continuing that revival and taking it into 2022.
Spotted out in L.A. yesterday with friend Bieber by her side, Jenner wore a brown zip-up fleece jacket, black leggings, and a Louis Vuitton monogrammed tote bag. On her feet were the Mini Uggs in the classic tan colorway (she even paired them with thick white socks for added cozy factor). Something about the shrunken Uggs lends them a more flattering silhouette than the thicker, taller classic boots—though, as Kendall styled them here, they still have that casual, dressed-down feel. They’re the perfect shoe for when you need to dash out of the house and run a quick errand, because they’re basically a socially acceptable house slipper. Who doesn’t want to wear a shoe that makes you feel like you’re walking on clouds?
