A Bronx mother says she is tirelessly searching for her daughter, who was last seen in Hunts Point at the end of November.
Dulce Lopez’s mother has been canvassing the streets and hanging up flyers with photos for weeks, asking anyone with information to call her directly if they don’t feel comfortable calling the police.
Lopez was reported missing to the police on Nov. 29. Police say the 31-year-old was last seen at her basement apartment at 611 Casanova St.
Noemy Brinson, her mother, says she initially contacted police to do a wellness check on her daughter after Lopez told her sister she was stressed and scared.
She says after police performed wellness checks and found Lopez at her apartment, she never heard from her again – unusual for the mother and daughter since Brinson lives in Texas and they talk on the phone every day.
"I want to see her and I want to take her to the treatment that she needs, that's all I want. And I want the community to help. The community is the only one that can help because I know, I know they have to see her somewhere and right now she probably doesn't know she needs help,” said Brinson.
Police say the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities.
