Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: Chukwudi Iwuji's Mysterious Role Has Been Reportedly Revealed

A while ago, we learned that Peacemaker star Chukwudi Iwuji is joining the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in a mysterious role. During that time, the details of the character that he is playing were still unknown. Now, a report has emerged regarding what his role will be and it might excite a lot of fans.

According to ScreenGeek, Iwuji is going to be the main villain of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 playing the role of The High Evolutionary. In case you're not familiar with the character, The High Evolutionary is an evolved human who has god-like powers and possesses superhuman intelligence. He also went up against Galactus at one point. He made his first full appearance in The Mighty Thor #134 back in 1966 and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

As the report also pointed out, The High Evolutionary is a character that created biological experiments such as animal-human hybrids in the comics. Given that the film is expected to tackle Rocket Raccoon's backstory, that might hint about the character's role in the story. He is also connected to Adam Warlock in the comics and we know that he will also be in the film played by Will Poulter.

We do have to take note that the news didn't come from the major trades nor announced by anyone involved in the film so we have to take this with a grain of salt. But given the character's information, it is likely that it might be the case at all and he seems to be someone that can be the foe for the Guardians of the Galaxy team in the film. It also indicates that Iwuji does have a major role which answers the mystery that fans have been wondering ever since his casting announcement. We will find out soon enough if the report is true.
