Sometimes you just need to shake things up.
At least that seems to be the case for Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder, who is releasing his first solo album since 2011.
The new album, titled “Earthling,” will be accompanied by a short tour featuring an all-star backing band appropriately dubbed The Earthlings. That includes a Feb. 6 stop in New Jersey at the Performing Arts Center in Newark.
Although only two singles from the upcoming album have been released at the time of publication, the band already has experience playing together. In September, the group performed at Vedder’s Ohana Music Festival in Dana Point, California.
If you’re hoping to see Vedder on tour in 2022, here’s what you need to know.
