Recent leaks suggested that CD Projekt Red are working on a re-release of Cyberpunk 2077, which would include a ton of missing features and improvements.

Since the launch of Cyberpunk 2077, we got a couple of rumours suggesting that CD Projekt Red are planing a big comeback for the game in No Man's Sky style but so far, none of that happened. We got a couple of updates that fixed some bugs here and there but certainly nothing groundbreaking that would transform the overall experience in the Night City.

The most recent rumour, which was posted on the controversial message board 4chan stated that CD Projekt Red plan a major showcase for February 2022, where they would announce Cyberpunk 2077: Samurai Edition, a relaunch of the game that would feature missing features such as barbershops, a garage, improved AI, transmog system, loot system rebalance and new DLC.

The rumour spread over Reddit and social media like wildfire but it was ultimately shut down today by CD Projekt Red PR Director Radek Adam Grabowski who said on Twitter that the leak simply does not add up.

"This thing does not add up. Sorry, Paul," Grabowski replied to Forbes' Paul Tassi who reported on this rumour.

While the rumour wasn't really believable anyway since it originated on 4chan, where everyone can anonymously post whatever they so desire, it's good that CD Projekt Red employee has actually shut it down once and for all.

We understand that players are desperate to hear more about Cyberpunk 2077 updates which were promised by CD Projekt Red but it's best that you wait for the official info from the developer and ignore the rumours from 4chan or similar websites.

Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to get a next-gen update for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC sometime in Q1 2022. This update should be introducing a wide variety of visual improvements on consoles and potentially bug fixes and other gameplay tweaks.
