EDWARDS COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 4:30p.m. Monday in Edwards County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Hyundai Sonata driven by Brandy D. Roenne, 19, Osborne, was northbound on County Road U eight miles south of Kinsley. The driver disobeyed a stop sign at U Road and U.S. 183.
The Hyundai and a southbound 2017 Chevy Cruze driven by Marjorie L. Schmidt, 83, Greensburg, collided head-on at U.S. 183.
EMS transported Roenne and Schmidt to the Edwards County Medical Center. Both drivers and a minor child in the Hyundai were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
