Pam Coker is returning for a short guest stint, in the aftermath of a homophobic attack carried out by Aaron’s far-right group which takes place tonight (4th January) on Ben, Callum, Ash, Eve & Stacey.

This could be an interesting story, and it’ll trigger memories for Ben who lost Paul in a similar attack. Makes sense to bring Pam back for this.

Pam’s return will air next Thursday (13th January). I know she’s only back for a few episodes, but I personally would love to see her back for good! Her presence is sorely missed.

Lin Blakley is a superb actress and I love the character of Pam so this is good news. I would also write her back in permanently. :)

I would also love to see a permanent return for Pam! I really liked her and Les, both characters would slot back in effortlessly if they were to return full time. I hope CC is a big fan!

We need her back for good.
There are no strong elder lady characters on the square for Walford residents to look up to anymore now Peggy, Pat, Dot, Pauline, Cora etc are gone.

Another attempt, to make the viewers feel sorry for Ben, who is truly vile, as TPTB, have realised many of us aren’t falling for the toxic relationship of Ben and Callum, thereby now have to throw a homophobic attack in there, curtesy of Aaron, to simply make him look better in comparison, and I find when you start trying to justify the actions of one character by comparing them to another, your case is already lost.

As a viewer I will never have sympathy for Ben after his behaviour in 2019 but I feel like it will be Eve who’s attacked and it just brings some PTSD for Ben?
I want Eve’s character to start shining, she has loads of potential, like Zack she’s another character that I judged too early but I actually really like her as Stacey’s fake wife.

If that’s the case then, that’s absolutely awful. Yes, of course, it will remind him of when Paul was attacked (in all fairness this Ben seems a far cry from the old one, so may not even be able to remember Paul, at this rate), but if Eve is attacked, it should be about her, and the prejudices she faces as a gay woman, not TPTB, using an attack inflicted upon her, to serve as another component of Ben and Callum angst, which is truly despicable.

Does Pam still own the Funeral Directors?

I know she sacked Billy for the ridiculous "hiding the swag in a newly dug grave" palaver, and she was living on the coast then as she came up specially, did she sell it to Jay or does he still work for her?

I'm just trying to work out why she would return, she doesn't seem to have been summoned by anyone...

    I believe so.

    They own it
Jay overlooks it but also has the car lot
    Stuart runs int

She was close with Ben, Lola, Billy, Janet, Jay. I’d like to see her befriend Kathy

I was never really a fan of Pam. However I cant deny that the show probably needs someone with her personality.

They should kill off Les off screen and have Pam move to a warden controlled appartment in Walford but not around the square. Have her appear semi regularly like Ethel used to.

If/when Vi reappears then have the two of them become frenemies. Pams kind nature will be at odds with Vis frosty temperment.

In fact have Vi move to the same complex with Pam. Frees up room in the highway house but means we still occasionally get some older characters.

Aw what wonderful news! I adore Pam.
We need more 'older' characters, so please bring her back full time!

I do think they needed to throw this in because characters who were supposed to be hurt (physically /mentally) in the NYE bomb still need to be injured somehow for future plots to make sense .
