An EastEnders spokesperson has confirmed to Digital Spy that Iqra's final episode aired last night (January 3).
The scenes saw Iqra make a low-key departure from the Square without any emotional goodbye with recent partner Mila and her young sister Kioni.
The character had been struggling with a decision to leave Walford for a new job while the campaigning for the new mosque went on, but was encouraged to take the leap.
Among those sending well-wishes was Rukku Nahar, who played Iqra's sister Habiba Ahmed. The Ahmed sisters arrived on-screen at the same time in early 2019, but Nahar quit the soap in October 2020.

"Bye bye iqs!!! can’t wait for the new adventures!! ALWAYS SO PROUD OF YOU," the actress wrote to her former co-star.
Gurlaine Kaur Garcha, who played Iqra's ex-partner Ash Kaur, also wrote: "onwards and upwards my girl!"
Iqra and Ash were involved in a powerful love story in EastEnders before the couple split up back in March.
In more recent months, Iqra has supported Mila Marwa in the wake of an issue-based FGM storyline.
