Traffic is down to one lane after a three-vehicle crash on southbound I-15 near Primm on Monday.
The crash was reported around 1:25 p.m. near mile marker 3, according to State Police, Highway Patrol.
Trooper Ashlee Wellman with Highway Patrol said a semi-truck was heading south when it crashed into the back of a black Dodge Ram that was stopped ahead. The Dodge then crashed into the rear of a Bentley SUV.
The driver of the Dodge was air-lifted to a hospital, while four other occupants were taken to UMC via ground ambulance. Wellman said their injuries are considered moderate and not life-threatening.
It appears the driver of the semi-truck failed to decrease speed and use due care, she said. Troopers do not suspect impairment is a factor.
Cars are currently getting by on the shoulder, leading to significant backup on the freeway.
Expect delays if taking this route.
