Marvel Studios finally gave us our first true taste of the Multiverse last year via Spider-Man: No Way Home but that's obviously just the tip of the iceberg as 2022 is where all the craziness will begin unfolding. The studio's 2022 slate will kick off in May with the highly anticipated Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the rumors are already starting to make their way online.
Rumor has it that the film's big bad will be none other than Wanda Maximoff herself and according to several "leaks" that have been circulating all over social media over the last couple of months, the Scarlet Witch, who is searching for her twins Billy and Tommy will unleash chaos in the Marvel Multiverse and kill several characters, including Captain Carter, Mr. Fantastic, and Charles Xavier. Now, an alleged new plot leak claims that the film's ending will decide Maximoff's fate.
According to the said leak that has been passed on through Twitter direct message, Multiverse of Madness will feature three variants of Stephen Strange which will join forces in an attempt to neutralize Maximoff. The alleged ending of the film will see all Strange variants form a triangle and imprison Wanda inside the Darkhold. The identities of the variants weren't disclosed but it's safe to assume that it'll be Doctor Strange, Supreme Strange, and Defender Strange.

Of course, it's all just speculation at this rate so take everything with a huge grain of salt. But the idea of Wanda becoming a huge threat in the MCU shouldn't come as a surprise especially after the lengths she went through in WandaVision.
