MOMOLAND to Partner up with Natti Natasha for the Creation of Their New Album in 2022

On Jan. 3, MLD Entertainment announced that MOMOLAND will collaborate with Natti Natasha to work on their upcoming album. It is said that the South American singer is involved in the entire process of making the album, including the title song and music video.

MOMOLAND's new album will be their first music release in approximately a year since their special collaboration with CHROMANCE for "Wrap Me in Plastic" in February 2021. It will also be their first album in more than a year since their third single album "Ready or Not" arrived in November 2020.

Natti Natasha is well known for her hit song "Criminal," which came out back in 2017. The music video for the track impressively gained over 2.3 billion views as of writing. She is a representative Latin pop singer with more than 34 million followers on social media.

Meanwhile, MOMOLAND has established a strong global fandom through their mega-hit songs "BBOOM BBOOM" and "BAAM." Notably, the sextet is the third K-pop girl group in history to hit 500 million views on YouTube (following BLACKPINK and TWICE) with "BBOOM BBOOM."

MOMOLAND's Activities before Their Comeback in January 2022 with a New Album

After releasing their special collaboration song "Wrap Me in Plastic" with CHROMANCE," MOMOLAND has been actively promoting through various aspects during the rest of 2021.

The girl group participated in several online concerts. They were one of the performers at the 2021 K-pop SuperFest organized by Joy Ruckus Club and Sessions. They were also part of the 27th Dream Concert, G K-pop Concert, and KOCCA's series of concerts "MU:CON."

MOMOLAND also made an appearance on the finale of MBN's "Voice King," where the sextet performed with the final Top 10 contestants of the show. This marked the girl group's first TV appearance in 2021.

Moreover, the "BBOOM BBOOM" singers attended and performed at the 2021 Asia Artist Awards (AAA), where they won one of the "AAA Best Choice (Singer)" awards together with Golden Child and PENTAGON. This is their second time to win the said award.

In November 2021, MOMOLAND celebrated the fifth anniversary of their debut.

MOMOLAND was also busy promoting through YouTube content including the celebration of their fifth anniversary and vlogs of the band members. The "BAAM" singers actively communicate with the fans as well, holding live broadcasts most of the time.

Apart from activities, the MOMOLAND members were chosen as global endorsement models for "Too Cool For School" in January 2021. "Too Cool for School" is a Korean beauty/cosmetics brand that is famous in more than 30 countries across the globe.
