Heading into the 2022 season, I wrote about how if they remained healthy for the most part, the Detroit Lions could end up with a Top 5 offensive in the entire NFL. Well, according to the DVOA rankings from Football Outsiders, the Lions ended up with the No. 5 ranked offense in the league. One of the main reasons why I believed Detroit's offense would be so good in 2022, and why they were very good in 2022, is the play of their offensive line. In my opinion, Detroit had a Top 3 offensive line in the NFL in 2022, but Pro Football Focus disagrees as they have them slotted at No. 8 in their final rankings.

Following a disastrous 2021 season, the Detroit Lions had plenty of holes on their roster that they needed to address. One of those most glaring needs came at the wide receiver position and general manager Brad Holmes addressed it by signing DJ Chark, who previously played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, to a 1-year, $10 million deal. Earlier today, we passed along a report that Detroit Lions‘ assistant head coach/running backs coach Duce Staley is heading to the Carolina Panthers. Now, according to reports, their defensive coordinator, Aaron Glenn, is one step closer to an NFL head coaching gig. According to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports, Glenn will have a second in-person interview with the Indianapolis Colts this coming Thursday.

On Tuesday, the NBA announced the participants for the 2023 Jordan Rising Stars game at NBA All-Star Weekend, and two Detroit Pistons rookies have made the cut. According to the NBA, Detroit Rookies Jaden Ivey and Jalen Duren were selected to play in the Jordan Rising Stars game. This will be the first time ever that two Detroit players will play in the Rising Stars game in the same season.

February 1st is starting to become sort of a holiday for the greatest NFL quarterback of all time, Tom Brady. Earlier this morning, Brady took to Twitter and dropped a video to announce that he has decided to retire from the NFL, “for good.” We don't know if Brady planned it, but he also announced he was retiring from the NFL on February 1st, 2022. Following his announcement, the NFL world reacted on Twitter.

In 25 days the Detroit Tigers will kick off their 2023 campaign down in Lakeland, Florida. With a bevy of new faces on the 40-man roster, the team announced today that 22 additional players (10 pitchers and 12 positions players) will be invited to Spring camp in hopes of making the team.
