Danforth suffered a sprained MCL on Thursday and is expected to miss six weeks. He was placed on injured reserve.
Danforth has two goals and four points through 12 games as a rookie this season. He should be back in action sometime in February. Yegor Chinakhov will likely see more playing time in the team's bottom six as a result.
