Kourtney Kardashian got engaged to Travis Barker in October of this year, but months later, her ex Scott Disick is reportedly still having trouble with Kardashian's new status.

The engagement was posted all over social media as Kardashian celebrated receiving a proposal from Barker on the beach outside the Rosewood Miramar resort in Montecito, California. The scene included hundreds of roses and candles. The couple recently revisited the romantic spot on a special date.

Disick has had two months to get used to the situation, but a source told People that he is supposedly “still so upset” about the engagement.

“He's been doing the best he can but it's been a very difficult time for him,” the source says. “He's looking for support right now.”

Disick and Kardashian dated off and on for almost ten years, having three children in that time, Mason, Penelope and Reign. They broke up for good in 2015, but continued to have a friendly co-parenting relationship. Disick is often included in Kardashian and Jenner events, and was even seen recently going to catch a movie with Kim Kardashian and her new boyfriend Pete Davidson on Staten Island.

In fact, the source says Disick is spending time with Kim because of his feelings for the latter's sister.

“She's been a good ear for [Scott] and she understands,” the source said. Before the official engagement, Disick commented on Kourtney and Barker's very public displays of affection and how he felt about seeing her move on while being interviewed by Andy Cohen during the two-part Keeping Up with the Kardashians reunion special in June.

“I think if you really love somebody, you want them to be happy no matter what. So I do give her a blessing to be happy,” he told Cohen. But an engagement is clearly different from dating.

“Scott hasn't really wanted to deal with Travis and Kourtney because he didn't feel like he'd have to,” the source said then. “At first, it seemed like it was just a casual relationship to him, nothing serious.”

They continued, “But that didn't happen and now he's being forced to deal with it, which is uncomfortable. He knows he has to lean into the discomfort and get past it. He understands that it's not Kourtney's job or Travis's job to make him okay with this. It's his job, and if he's going to co-parent with Kourtney, which he has been, he has to process this and make his peace with it.”

Despite being seen out with Kim, Disick is allegedly “distancing himself from the family” as a way to process the situation.

“It's not about them, it's not about Kourtney,” the source explained. “It's about him needing some time to process this and deal with it on his own, without them. He'll come around soon.”
