WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — A 10-year-old girl is staying positive after fending off a shark during an encounter at a Florida beach over the weekend. On Sunday, the Jupiter Island Public Safety Department was called to Hobe Sound Beach for a young girl that had been bitten by a shark.

As winter nears and families gather for the holidays, cold-like symptoms are on the rise. And cases of respiratory syncytial virus, commonly known as RSV are also on the rise.

A pretty decent day is shaping up Friday. We will see a decent amount of sun during the morning before clouds increase during the afternoon. It turns breezy and milder.
