OHP AIMS TO GET THROUGH NYE WITH ZERO FATAL CRASHES

“Our numbers have been pretty steady the last few years but we’re thankful that our DUI crashes over new years have decreased since 2016,” said Lt. Mark Southall with OHP Troop B.

Lt. Southall has worked at OHP for 16 years. Unfortunately, he says he’s seen more fatal crash scenes, involving intoxicated drivers, than he can count. The experiences he said is life changing.

During the holiday weekend, various checkpoints will be set in Tulsa and Muskogee Counties in our immediate area. Others are planned across the state.

Troopers urge anyone who drinks, to not get behind the wheel.
