CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Austin Peay State University men’s basketball head coach Nate James has tested positive for COVID-19.

That means he will miss tonight’s Ohio Valley Conference opener against UT Martin, according to a news release from APSU Sports Information.

APSU associate head coach Brett Carey will serve as the Govs acting head coach in James’ absence, the news release said.

The Govs return to the court for the first time since a Dec. 18 contest at Vanderbilt.

Austin Peay begins its final season in the OVC and seeks its fourth 1-0 start in the last five years, the release said.
