Girls On Top Reveals Stunning Individual Teaser Images of BoA, Taeyeon, Karina and More
SM Entertainment released teaser images of Girls On Top members through SMTOWN and the group's official Twitter account on December 29. The teasers attracted attention as they contained the members' elegant visuals and radiated a unique atmosphere.
The newly introduced project unit, Girls On Top, is based on intense dance songs and performances. It consists of seven members, all of who are members of established SM Entertainment groups, with outstanding skills: BoA, Girls' Generation Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, Red Velvet Seulgi and Wendy, and aespa Karina and Winter.
Girls On Top's debut song "Step Back" will be released on different music sites at 6 PM (KST) on January 3, 2022.
Moreover, the track will be performed live for the first time through the free online concert "SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS@KWANGYA," to be held on January 1, 2022, at 1 PM (KST).

On the other hand, SM Entertainment plans to release different combinations and attractive units soon. It will begin with the launch of the new concept project Girls on Top (GOT), in which female artists from different female groups of the agency come together.

"SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS@KWANGYA" trailer and poster, released by SM Entertainment, fuel the excitement for the agency's upcoming project.
On the afternoon of December 28, the trailer video and poster for the much-anticipated event were released through SMTOWN's official Twitter account and YouTube channel.
The trailer video shows SM artists gathering in "KWANGYA" (which means "wilderness"), a virtual space in the SMCU (SM Culture Universe) worldview. There, SM Entertainment artists are seen riding the "SMCU EXPRESS" that suits their respective concepts.
"SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS@KWANGYA" is a compilation of performance contents that SM Entertainment has shown before.
In the upcoming concert, SM Entertainment artists, Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation Taeyeon, Hyoyeon, SHINee Onew, Key, Minho, EXO Kai, Red Velvet, NCT U, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, WayV, aespa, Girls on Top, and Raiden will be participating.
Fans will also witness special performances by top artists Kinjo, Imlay, JEB, MINIMONSTER, Mar Vista, and Hitchhiker.
"SMTOWN EXPERIENCE: PLAY@KWANGYA" can be seen on December 30 at the LED Media Wall located on the 1st floor of SM Seongsu's new office building, and will be held at "SMCU EXPRESS," media content that shows the appearance of each SM artist on board the express.
