Another season of The Great British Bake Off (or as American and Canadian audiences call it, The Great British Baking Show) has come and gone. While fans continue to celebrate Giuseppe Dell'Anno's recent triumph, there appears to be some chatter about this past season's banter between the two cohosts, Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding.

In response to multiple GBBO social media posts showcasing Matt and Noel doing their thing — which includes distracting the bakers with their cheeky jokes and performing creative bits in between challenges — many viewers have tweeted and commented their disapproval of the pair's demeanor this season. While some don't seem to get their humor, others are calling for the show to replace Matt with Sandy Toksvig, who previously cohosted the series with Noel for three seasons.

Then again, there are others who strongly expressed positive opinions of the two comedians this year. Noel, of course, continues to win over viewers with his use of utensil sidekicks (i.e. Mr. Spatula), while Matt's lightning-fast reflexes were praised when the comedian saved the day after Paul Hollywood nearly dropped half of a cake onto the floor.

Whether you love seeing Matt and Noel cohost together or not, we can all agree that what really matters are the bakers and the lovely creations they whip up every episode. Lucky for Netflix viewers, if you're craving more GBBO magic after speeding through season 12, the fourth season of The Great British Baking Show: Holidays is now available on the streamer. In the first episode, guest cohost and British comedian Tom Allen stands in for Noel (we do see Noel return in the New Years-themed second episode).

At the moment, it remains likely that we'll see Paul and Prue Leith judge the next full season of Bake Off, as well as Matt and Noel return to wreak light-hearted havoc in the tent. No matter what though, we all could use more Bake Show in our lives.
