Cody Townsend’s Fifty Project is getting to the point where the lines left on the list are getting gnarlier and gnarlier. His latest adventure (#36) took him deep into the Montana wilderness to attempt a rarely skied line called the Patriarch on the North Face of Glacier Peak just outside Cooke City. It’s a proud line that requires a healthy amount of ropework and ends in a massive cliff that needs to be skirted around. This time, he’s joined by modern ski mountaineering legends Jim Morrison and Hilaree Nelson on a frigid spring mission that challenges the whole crew.
