The 10 Worst Christmas Candy Rankings Probably Include Some of Your Favorite Sweets

Tags:

What’s Christmas without our favorite festive candy? Well, it turns out some of the most beloved holiday treats are actually on the “naughty” list of seasonal sweets.

According to data shared by the confectionary pros at CandyStore.com, that is. They asked their customers to vote on which holiday candies they absolutely hate the most — and the top 10 results probably include one or two of your go-to Christmas candies.

From classics we’ve all seen stuffed in our stockings to newer twists on sugary delights, these candy critics were not holding back! Take a look:

  1. Christmas Nougat
  2. Chocolate-Covered Cherry Cordials
  3. Reindeer Corn (red and green candy corn)
  4. Life Savers Story Books
  5. Old-Fashioned Hard Candy Mix
  6. Christmas Peeps
  7. Non-Peppermint Candy Canes
  8. Ribbon Candy
  9. Chocolate Oranges
  10. Peppermint Bark

OK, we’re used to things like Peeps (which didn’t actually come out with any special holiday designs last year) and candy corn getting bad raps in any holiday form. And sometimes there’s no telling how long hard candy may have been lingering around an older family member’s house before getting set back out for the holidays. But the rest of these don’t seem that bad!

In fact, we’re sure there are plenty of folks out there who’d be sad to see a Christmas go by without smashing a Chocolate Orange (Buy from Walmart, $2.98), chowing down on a full box a gooey Cherry Cordials (Buy from Walmart, $10.99), or digging into some peppermint bark (Buy from Walmart, $1.65).

The company also included an even more surprising “honorable mention” for the 11th least-liked holiday candy: Peppermint Candy Canes. That’s right, the regular red and white striped classic we’ve been enjoying since the first time we visited Santa Claus to tell him what we want under our tree. Alright, maybe they do tend to get a little sticky, but that’s part of their charm!

Of course, there’s no need to feel too bad if your favorite candy is on the list. It just means there will be plenty more for you to scoop up and enjoy.
