SANGER, Calif. (FOX26) — Senator Melissa Hurtado is calling for the resignation of Sanger Mayor Eli Ontiveros, following his recent arrest for alleged domestic violence.
“Domestic violence under any circumstance is unacceptable,” said Senator Hurtado in a statement. “While we do not yet know the full details of this case, I am disheartened and disappointed, and call for Mayor Ontiveros to resign. The community stands ready to support Mrs. Ontiveros, and I pray for healing for her and her children during this difficult time.”
