Quick response helps contain Mount Vernon fire
Firefighters from two departments respond.
MOUNT VERNON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Quick response by firefighters from two agencies helped contain a fire to the front wall and attic area of a home Monday morning.
According to Mount Vernon Fire Department with responding aid from the Brodhead Fire Department, the fire was reported at about 7:40 a.m. Monday at a wood frame home on West Main Street.
Firefighters attacked the fire from the inside along the wall and above by getting into the attic area. No injuries were reported.
