Kirsten Storms Reveals What GH Co-Star Amanda Setton Is Really Like

Tags:

Soap fans love following their favorite stars on Instagram and Twitter to stay up to date on the latest happenings in their lives, but some actors just aren’t as public about their private lives as others. Amanda Setton (Brook Lynn, GENERAL HOSPITAL) is one of those actors, so her castmate and friend, Kirsten Storms (Maxie) used her own Instagram to sing her praises.

“Since Amanda doesn’t have social media, I get that you guys don’t have a good understanding about what she’s like as a person,” Storms captioned their selfie. “So I’mma give you the low-down. She’s wonderfully honest, open, loving, gorgeous, really f’ing funny, an effortlessly badass actor (can I get an amen to this, please?), a fantastic mama to three gorgeous kids, a great listener, an even better advice giver, and a really supportive friend.

“There are many more positive things I could say,” she added, “but I’m parked in front of Target and don’t have time to make this as long as it should be.”

Setton and Storms have been working together a lot on GH in the Baby Louise storyline.ABC

Daytime audiences first enjoyed Sutton’s talents when she played Kimberly Andrews on ONE LIFE TO LIVE from 2009-10 and again in 2011. In primetime, she played Penelope Safai on GOSSIP GIRL and Shauna Dicanio on THE MINDY PROJECT. She joined the cast of GH in 2019 as the newest recast of Brook Lynn Quartermaine, and took maternity leave in August 2020 to give birth to her third child. She recently celebrated her birthday on December 16, and Storms wanted to do something special about it.

“Amanda’s birthday was a few days ago,” she said. “If you’d like to type a message below for her I will take some screenshots and text them to her.” Naturally, the comments on Storms’ Instagram post flooded with birthday wishes as well as general compliments for her to share with Setton. And some of her GH castmates also shared the love. “I could not agree more!” declared Finola Hughes (Anna). “Amanda is brilliantly funny and empathetic, and a wise mom beyond her years, so in love with her family and a pleasure to be around. Adore her.”

Storms also tried to head off any rude comments by explaining their appearance in the selfie. “We were on set in between scenes,” she revealed, “so that’s why we have masks on. I don’t wanna hear it if you have a problem with a rule I have nothing to do with.” She then concluded with a couple of hashtags, including one wondering why co-star Josh Swickard (Chase) wasn’t in this pic with them!
