DOVER, Del. – A Dover restaurant employee is facing burglary and other related charges.

We’re told police responded to Frazier’s Restaurant shortly after 10 a.m. Sunday for a reported burglary that took place earlier that morning, between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. It was learned through the investigation that 55-year-old Recardo Weatherspoon, an employee of the restaurant, entered the business through a kitchen door while employees were still inside and hid inside the walk-in refrigerator until the restaurant closed and all employees left. Weatherspoon then broke a door to the management office and tried to break into a safe containing cash, but was not successful. He then fled on foot.

Weatherspoon was located Sunday afternoon and charged with third degree attempted burglary, possession of burglar tools, attempted theft, and criminal mischief. He was later released on a $2,750 unsecured bond.

A mugshot of Weatherspoon is not available at this time.
