Danish Fight Night Promotions joins the list of promoters who have had to cancel / postpone shows due to the latest wave of Covid-19 and the show scheduled for January 7 in Brondby is now officially postponed.

On the bill, Enock Poulsen would have clashed with Franck Petitjean for the vacant EBU super lightweight title and Sarah Mahfoud would have defended the IBF female featherweight title against Nina Meinke.

Former two time world title challenger and EBU champ Anthony Yigit, chief sparring for Poulsen, was all set to fight on the undercard.

Danish heavyweight Kem Ljungquist, back in the pros after a brief stint as an amateur, was to headline an amateur show in Nykobing Falster on December 29 but that show is now canceled.

The SES Christmas show in Magdeburg, which was set for December 18, went ahead as planned and in the main fight unbeaten cruiserweight Roman Fress (15-0) stopped Adam Usunov (20-16) in the sixth round. The German-based Russian retired due to an injured shoulder. The International German - BDB version - title was at stake.

Light heavy Michael Eifert (9-1) knocked out Niels Schmidt in the third and it was a bad knockout. Schmidt was 20-0 coming into the fight but was overmatched in this one. This was for the German - BDB - title.

Light heavy Nick Hannig (10-1-1) had first fight for SES and beat Belarus veteran Siarhei Khamitskyi (32-24-3) on points over eight.

Polish middleweight Maciej Sulecki (30-2) returned to action Friday night in Wyszkow, Poland, and outscored tough Frenchman Fouad El Massoudi (17-16-1) over eight. It was scored 77-74 twice and 78-73.
