Through Jan. 9 the Crocker Art Museum is hosting an exhibition entitled "Monet to Matisse."
Featuring masterworks of French impressionism, the 50 pieces of art featured come from the Dixon Gallery and Gardens.
There are tours daily through the exhibition. The works provide a panorama of one of the most striking and revolutionary movements in the 19th century.
The exhibition also features permanent pieces from the Crocker collection of sketchbooks in which famous impressionism era artists not only sketched paintings prior to execution, but also jotted notes on models of theirs, including addresses.
The temporary exhibit is on display through Jan. 9, 2022.
