Jake Hoot, Adam Hambrick and More Set for ‘Camp Broadcast’ Fundraiser

Country stars like Jake Hoot, Adam Hambrick and more are pitching in to help aspiring journalists and media personalities, ready to take part in the first-ever Camp Broadcast Acoustic Concert.

A fundraising show benefiting Camp Broadcast student scholarships, the event will be hosted by Camp Broadcast founder and TV/radio personality Sam Alex, as well as TV’s Andrea Boehlke.

Taking place January 16, 2022, at Pinstripes in South Barrington, Illinois, the event is described as a guitar-pull style concert, with performers telling stories and playing acoustic songs in a loose format. Along with The Voice favorite Jake Hoot emerging star Adam Hambrick, the evening will also feature Lanie Gardner and songwriter/artist Ray Fulcher, who has co-written hits for Luke Combs and popular tracks by Riley Green, among others.

A nationally syndicated radio host who covers country music on The Sam Alex Show, Alex created Camp Broadcast as an expert-led day camp for high school and college-age students aspiring to become journalists or on-air media personalities. The camp has been featured on TODAY and Good Morning America in the past, and has welcomed guest speakers like Cole Swindell, Scotty McCreery, NFL all-star Donovan McNabb and more.

“Hey Chicago! Exciting news to share… I’m hosting a hometown concert on Sunday, January 16, 2022,” Alex announced on Instagram. “I would love to see you for this ‘writer’s round style’ event. It’s something you normally only see in Nashville – all the artists on stage at the same time… playing their songs and sharing the stories behind them.”

Tickets for the event are available now.
