Tony Hale in Clifford the Big Red Dog

Tony Hale is a master of playing comedic characters. From voice work to comedies in film and television, Hale was the perfect fit to play a villainous biotech executive chasing after a 10-foot high dog in Clifford the Big Red Dog.

The film is based on the lovable children’s book series by Norman Bridwell. It stars Jack Whitehall, Darby Camp, Izaac Wang, John Cleese, Sienna Guillory, David Alan Grier, Horatio Sanz, Paul Rodriguez, and Russell Peters. Walt Becker directed the movie from the screenplay written by Jay Scherick, David Ronn, and Blaise Hemingway.

Here is the official synopsis:

The movie tells the story of when middle-schooler Emily Elizabeth (Darby Camp) meets a magical animal rescuer (John Cleese) who gifts her a little, red puppy. She never anticipated waking up to find a giant ten-foot hound in her small New York City apartment. While her single mom (Sienna Guillory) is away for business, Emily and her fun but impulsive uncle Casey (Jack Whitehall) set out on an adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat as our heroes take a bit out of the Big Apple.
