Batwoman alumnus Ruby Rose will appear opposite Megan Fox, Colson Baker, Scoot McNairy and Maddie Hasson in a new movie titled Taurus.

With its feet firmly planted in the musical drama genre, Deadline reports that this film orbits around a troubled artist searching for the inspiration to record one last tune.

"His sister-like assistant wants to save him, his collaborators want him in the studio, while his dealer and his ex push him deeper into the void," teases a synopsis.

Funny Face's Tim Sutton calls the shots as writer-director, while the story itself takes a look at the dark side of fame, addiction and the mechanics of the music industry.

In other news, former Kate Kane actress Rose previously suggested that her exit from Batwoman after one season was for the best following a severe back injury.

"[The injury] definitely made going back to work so quickly tricky. But they really accommodated trying to help me out the best they could, going back so early. Cause we wanted to obviously meet the release date of the show.

"I think what played a bigger part was more that we got shut down early. We didn't get to finish the first season, which is such a shame, especially for a first season show. And then we went into lockdown with COVID... there was a lot of thought and reflection and kind of everyone did it," she continued.

Since then, Rose has spoken out against the working conditions on set and the behaviour of showrunner Caroline Dries, and executive producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter.

Read her allegations in full here. Warner Bros issued a statement at the time regarding Rose's claims, which read (via The Hollywood Reporter): "Despite the revisionist history that Ruby Rose is now sharing online aimed at the producers, the cast and crew, the network, and the studio, the truth is that Warner Bros Television had decided not to exercise its option to engage Ruby for season two of Batwoman based on multiple complaints about workplace behavior that were extensively reviewed and handled privately out of respect for all concerned."
