LAND O LAKES, Fla. (WFLA) – A fatal crash closed all lanes of State Road 52 between US-41 and Shady Hills Road in Land O’ Lakes, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say a 62-year-old man from Sebastian, Florida attempted to pass other traffic by entering a left turn lane.
While attempting to pass, he lost control and went through the eastbound lanes of SR-52, entered the south shoulder, colliding with the flat-bed trailer parked in a construction zone on the roadway shoulder.
Upon impact, the driver was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries at the crash scene.
