McCormick was recalled from AHL Charlotte on Monday, per the AHL's transactions list.
McCormick has been held without a point in five NHL games this season and hasn't suited up for Seattle since Nov. 9. The 29-year-old forward will likely be a healthy scratch Tuesday in San Jose.
