NJD Auction

The New Jersey Devils launched the "Broadway/Hayesy" jersey auction in memory of late NHL alum
Jimmy Hayes
on Monday.

Hayes, the brother of Philadelphia Flyers forward Kevin Hayes, played for the Devils in 2017-28, his final NHL season. He died on Aug. 23 at age 31.
The auction features warmup jerseys from the Devils and Chicago Blackhawks worn before New Jersey's 4-3 overtime win at Prudential Center on Oct. 15. The special sweaters featured Hayes' NHL numbers from his time playing for New Jersey (10) and Chicago (39). The nameplates of each set were customized with his nicknames "Broadway" and "Hayesy."
