The Nashville Predators weathered the storm while starting goalie Juuse Saros missed the last two games because he was under the weather, both road victories.

But the Predators were happy to see Saros back on the ice Friday in New Jersey when they faced the Devils.

David Rittich filled in for Saros during wins against the Red Wings and Islanders while Saros was out with a non-COVID-related illness.

The team announced before the game that forwards Matt Duchene and Colton Sissons would not play and were day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

The Predators were on a three-game winning streak going into Friday's contest, the third of a four-game road trip that concludes Sunday against the New York Rangers.
