On Saturday, LaPhonso Ellis will be inducted into the Notre Dame Ring of Honor at halftime of Saturday's game against Kentucky. His name and number 20 will hang above the court at Purcell Pavilion forever more.

Ellis' name is all over the Irish record books. He was a dominant force in the late 80s & early 90s.

His 200 blocked shots are still 2nd in program history, and his 1,075 career rebounds still 4th in Irish history.

Ellis was drafted fifth overall by the Denver Nuggets in 1992 NBA Draft and and enjoyed an 11 year NBA career with stops in Denver, Minnesota, Atlanta and Miami.
