Washington (hamstring) was designated to return from injured reserve Thursday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
The safety was injured in late September and will have 21 days to either be activated or remain on IR for the rest of the season. Washington has been a leader on the Cardinals' special-teams unit in recent years and is expected to fill that role when he returns.
