Kinkaid was recalled from AHL Hartford on Thursday.
Kinkaid appeared in nine games with the Rangers last season but hasn't seen any NHL action during the 2021-22 campaign. He's posted a 2.59 GAA and a .916 save percentage through 11 AHL contests. The veteran netminder will primarily serve as Alexandar Georgiev's backup until Igor Shesterkin (lower body) is ready to return.
