This Instagram Page Is Seen As Rude Toward G-Dragon For Shipping BTS's V, BLACKPINK's Jennie
Amid the following/unfollowing issue surrounding BTS's V and BLACKPINK's Jennie today, one Instagram account is continuously shipping the two. Netizens commend the page's handler for editing the two K-pop idols' photos together perfectly, but what about G-Dragon?
Rumors have it Jennie and G-Dragon are dating. So, is it okay for the BIGBANG member to see his alleged girlfriend being paired to another K-pop star, V?
The page in question uses the ID @jen_taetae_, combining the names of the two stars. The account is private, but AllKpop noted it often posts edited photos of the two, sharing some sweet moments.
Sure, the page's handlers have incredible editing skills with the way they make it look like the hitmakers are really together, but many are uncomfortable with it. They said they are being "disrespectful to V, Jennie and G-Dragon" for doing this.
They also question the people behind these posts, knowing the "SOLO" singer is attacked for being paired with the BTS member.
In February, Dispatch revealed Jennie and G-Dragon had been a thing for about a year. However, the two had remained mum about it, along with their agency, YG Entertainment, which said it would never comment on their artists' private lives.
Despite that, though, SCMP reported that the two fan-favorite K-pop stars had plenty of "potential romantic history." These two have, reportedly, had a close relationship.
They first worked together in 2012 when Jennie was still a trainee-four years before BLACKPINK officially debuted. At the time, she appeared in his "That XX" music video.
With that said, netizens saw the photos pairing Jennie to V as rude. Though it cannot be denied that they look good together, some say it is still not right.
They call V Human Gucci and Jennie Human Chanel. Others, alternatively, plead to leave Jennie alone.
The controversy started when V found himself a victim of an Instagram feature, per News18. He accidentally followed Jennie and before he could undo it, the damage was already done.
Many had seen the incident and some even got a screenshot of it. Anyhow, he quickly hit the unfollow button, but it was too late. This resulted in chaos between the ARMY and Blinks.
Some even crossed the line and left a number of malicious comments on Jennie's posts. Meanwhile, V bravely addressed the issue and asked if there was any way that the said Instagram recommendation feature be erased, saying it was "scary."
