aespa Karina Named the Vocal Queen of K-Pop + Ningning Makes Top 5
From December 2 to December 8, Top Star News held a survey, titled "Who are the best K-pop vocal kings and queens in Korea?"
There, they determined who the vocal kings and queens of the K-pop industry are. The female category garnered 326,170 votes.
Ranking at the top and earning the title of "Vocal Queen of K-pop" is aespa member Karina, who received 109,300 votes. Karina is the main dancer, lead rapper, sub-vocalist, visual and face of the group. Despite not being the main vocalist of the girl group, Karina has been loved by the public since her debut for her charming vocals.
Karina honed her vocal skills even before she signed with SM Entertainment. The "Next Level" songstress used to take lessons at a music academy, specializing in her vocals and piano skills.
In 2016, she competed at the Hansol Festival and performed BLACKPINK's "BOOMBAYAH" and HyunA's "Bubble Pop!"

Fellow aespa member Ningning ranked in fourth place in this survey. The Chinese idol received 18,350 votes. Ningning is the group's main vocalist and maknae and has been known for her vocals even during her time as a member of SM Rookies. Before her debut in South Korea, Ningning competed on the Chinese audition program "Let's Sing Kids."
In 2017, Ningning participated in MBC's "Shining Star" with the other SM Rookies members.
Kep1er Choi Yujin Selected as the Second Vocal Queen of K-Pop
Ranking in second place is Kep1er and CLC member Choi Yujin. During her time in CLC, Choi Yujin was the lead dancer, sub-vocalist, sub-rapper, visual and center.
In Kep1er, she is the leader and is rumored to either be the group's lead vocalist or sub-vocalist.

Though not the main vocalist, Choi Yujin has enchanted the public with her sweet tone and high-pitched vocals. Before her debut with CLC in 2015, Choi Yujin was already active in the public as a vocalist. In 2013, she collaborated with Yang Yoseob of HIGHLIGHT in "Perfume." The song was released as part of CUBE Entertainment's first "Voice Project."
