The PA Dairymen’s Association is about to shake things up at the 2022 Pennsylvania Farm Show.
The group is giving fans another excuse to sip its famous shakes with the introduction of a new flavor. Black raspberry will join vanilla, chocolate and mix during the 2022 show from Jan. 8-15 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center in Harrisburg.
For the first time in two years, the Farm Show will be held in-person after the 2021 edition was held virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic. Much like a state fair, the Farm Show is the Keystone State’s largest agricultural event.
“To celebrate, we are ecstatic to offer a brand new delicious black raspberry flavored milkshake to welcome back our loyal milkshake fans. We are proud to introduce this new flavor plus offer all of our other popular dairy delicious foods and beverages,” said Dave Smith, PA Dairymen’s executive director, in a statement.
The food court is one of show’s biggest draws and the place to stop for Pennsylvania’s favorite foods. Along with shakes, the Dairymen will sell fried mozzarella cheese cubes, grilled cheese sandwiches and grilled cheese stix, along with ice cream and milk.
Other new food court additions include pierogi from the PA Cooperative Potato Growers, shredded portabella nachos and savory wild portabella mushroom jerky from the Mushroom Farmers of Pennsylvania and veggie burgers and veggie corn dogs from the PA Vegetable Growers Association.
The food court opens noon-9 p.m. Jan. 7 for a sneak preview with free parking.
Also, for those who can’t wait for the Farm Show, the Dairymen’s milkshakes, including black raspberry, will be sold at several upcoming pop-up events:

Milkshake sales enable the Dairymen to support year-round philanthropic efforts. More than $1.4 million has been donated over the past four years to programs including The Calving Corner, Fill A Glass with Hope fresh milk campaign and PA Farm Bureau Mobile Ag Education Lab.
