Celtic need to strengthen in several areas across the pitch. One of them is goalkeeper. Joe Hart has done a great job since coming in but the fact of the matter is that he is 34 years of age and not a long-term solution between the posts. Beyond him, the Hoops do not have a lot of great options either and on top of everything else, Vasilis Barkas is being linked with a Parkhead exit after failing to make his mark since his move from AEK Athens.

Thus, it would not be surprising if Celtic did end up signing a goalkeeper in the future. And they have been linked with Dundee United’s Benjamin Siegrist in recent times.

The Swiss goalkeeper has made quite a name for himself since moving to Dundee United. His current deal with the club is set to run out next summer though.

He has been linked with potential moves to both Celtic and the Rangers. Amidst all this, the goalkeeper has made a change in agents and might possibly be looking for an exit in the future.

Celtic have been handed potential Siegrist transfer boost

As reported by Football Scotland, Siegrist has switched his agent from Dr Thomas Kraft to former Celtic scout, David Moss, who now works with First Access Sport.

Siegrist could be prove to be a solid signing for Celtic if they can bring him to Parkhead. He has already proven himself in the Scottish Premiership and Ange Postecoglou got a first hand view of that in the recent game against Dundee United. While the Hoops might have gotten a 3-0 win, it could have been more if not for some of the Swiss goalkeeper’s saves.

It remains to be seen what the future holds but Siegrist is definitely a player that Celtic must keep an eye on.
